River Listening is an interdisciplinary research project based in Queensland, Australia at the University of the Sunshine Coast on Kabi Kabi Country.
River Listening acknowledges the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi people, on whose lands we live and work.
We pay respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and values our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities where our projects are located.

The project was launched through a Synapse Residency from ANAT and has been funded by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.
River Listening is also supported by The Australian Rivers Institute and Creative Arts Research Institute at Griffith University.
