This page host the River Listening live streams featuring real-time hydrophones from a diversity of freshwater ecosystems. When the streams go live, they appear at the top of this page.
During Floating Land 2019, we created 16 listening points along the Noosa River in Queensland, Australia for River Listening: From Source to Sea. This project introduces new ways for audiences to experience the soundscapes of rivers with live listening points layered with sonic art responding to the health of the river. The pubic live streams are from select locations along the Noosa River where soundscapes are accessed via guided sound walks and kayak tours. The streams will be public for periods of 3-5hours at various times throughout Floating Land.
